Limited edition: the Apocrypha volume was printed in 1325 copies (the present volume is numbered 1051); the remainder were printed in 1075 copies each (the present volumes are unnumbered).
Each volume with an engraved title page, head piece, and tail piece by English engraver, illustrator Stephen Gooden (1892-1955; Fellow of the Royal Academy of Arts). Fine, matching, gilt-decorated bindings.

Bibliophile edition of "The Wisdom of Jesus the Son of Sirach, commonly called Ecclesiasticus" (also called "Wisdom of Sirach", "Ben Sira" or "the Book of Ecclesiasticus") – part of the Jewish apocrypha, attributed to Shimon ben Yeshua ben Eliezer ben Sira, apparently written in Jerusalem during the Second Temple period.

Each print is preceded by a vellum leaf, upon which the relevant verse is inscribed. Top edge gilt. Fine gilt vellum binding, with green cotton ties.

Each print is dedicated to one of the letters of the so-called "Alphabet of Metatron" – one of the scripts known as "Angelic Scripts" – mystical Hebrew letters associated with the Archangel Metatron, a dominant figure in the literature of Jewish mysticism.
This portfolio was printed in a limited number of copies. The present copy is Number 18 in an edition of 22 numbered copies, each containing two sets of 22 prints in addition to a title page print; each print is numbered and signed in pencil by the artist, David Moss.
Also enclosed is a booklet containing an introduction by Moss, in which he explains the shape and meaning of each one of the letters.
