The Chafetz Chaim thanks him for his support of the Radin yeshiva, and concludes with blessings for a good year: "…May G-d grant him a new year of goodness and blessing, and may we merit to see the redemption of the Jewish people and the raising of the prestige of the Torah... Yisrael Meir HaKohen".

Typewritten letter, stamped and signed by R. "Yisrael Meir HaKohen", the Chafetz Chaim. Radin (Radun), Tammuz 1932.
In this letter addressed to R. Merzbach in Darmstadt (Germany), the Chafetz Chaim appeals for financial assistance on behalf of the yeshiva in Radin, describing the dire financial straits of the yeshiva. The Chafetz Chaim concludes the letter with blessings "May the merit of this great deed… stand for him, and may he be blessed with life, peace and all goodness, may his eyes view the speedy salvation of Israel and raising of the prestige of the Torah… Yisrael Meir HaKohen".
The recipient of the letter, R. Yonah Merzbach (1900-1980), rabbi of Darmstadt and later dean of the Kol Torah yeshiva and compiler of the Talmudic Encyclopedia.

Addressed to R. Moshe Aryeh Ozer, a dean of the Petach Tikvah branch of the Lomzha yeshiva. The letter discusses immigration permits for students wishing to immigrate to Eretz Israel. The mashgiach, who was known for his great sensitivity to others, describes the disappointment of the other students who did not receive a permit, and praises the students for their intellectual capacities, diligence and positive character traits.

Lengthy letter (2 pages) handwritten and signed by R. Yechezkel Berstein, dean of the Or Yisrael yeshiva in Slabodka-Kovno. Slabodka, 23rd Adar 1925.
Interesting letter on the history of the Or Yisrael intermediate yeshiva for young students in Slabodka. Addressed to his colleague, R. Moshe Finkel (son of the Alter of Slabodka), his predecessor as dean of the yeshiva, who had just immigrated to Eretz Yisrael, and served as dean of the Slabodka yeshiva in Hebron founded that year.
R. Yechezkel Berstein, who was a lecturer in the yeshiva at that time, reports to R. Lengthy letter (2 pages) handwritten and signed by R. "Yosef Aryeh Nenedik". Kobryn, Elul 1932.
This particularly interesting letter is addressed to his colleague R. Yitzchak Turetz in Kamenitz and opens with blessings for a good year.
R. Turetz, who was serving at the time as lecturer in the Kamenitz yeshiva (under his father-in-law R. Baruch Ber Leibowitz), was considering leaving Kamenitz to establish his own yeshiva, and had consulted with R. Nenedik regarding the advisability of this move. In this letter, R. Nenedik analyses the various aspects of the question with great insight and wisdom, offering him advice and encouragement.
R. Yosef Aryeh Leib Nenedik (ca. 1875-1943, murdered in the Kovno ghetto), a prominent Lithuanian mussar leader. Served as mashgiach in the yeshiva of the Chafetz Chaim in Radin, and founded the Grodno and later the Ponovezh yeshivot together with R. Yosef Shlomo Kahaneman.

Printed invitation to the wedding of the groom R. Dov Schwartzman, with the bride Sara Pesha, R. Aharon Kotler’s only daughter. [New York, Kislev 1946].
Two letters were written on the back of the invitation, one handwritten and signed by R. Aharon Kotler, and the second handwritten and signed by his wife, Rebbetzin Chana Perel Kotler. The envelope, addressed to R. Shabtai Yagel and his family in Ramat Gan, is enclosed.
R. Aharon Kotler writes: "…please accept our great appreciation for your faithful blessings, which emanate from the depth of your pure heart, and whoever blesses shall be blessed by G-d with all good forever, may you reap much satisfaction from all your sons… may you merit to disseminate Torah in prosperity… One who loves him eternally, Aharon Kotler". Rebbetzin Chana Perel writes: "Please accept my thanks as well… may we merit to inform and be informed of only good news, and may you be blessed with all goodness and much satisfaction from your dear sons... Letter (unsigned) handwritten by R. Avraham Yeshayahu Karelitz, author of Chazon Ish, regarding the use of electric milking machines on Shabbat. [Bnei Brak, ca. 1940s].
The letter (partially damaged) discusses the permissible way of using automatic milking machines on Shabbat. The Chazon Ish rules that the machine can only be used with the milk going to waste, and rejects a different solution which was suggested. Further in the letter, he proposes a way of building the machines which would solve the halachic prohibitions involved.
