Hanging lamp (memorial lamp?) for the synagogue. [North Africa? Near East?, late 19th or early 20th century].
Cast, repoussé, embossed and punched silver; chiseling.
At the bottom of the lamp is a silver bowl for oil or light vessel. Three chains are attached to a lid-like hanger decorated with fine vegetal motifs. Attached to the rim of the hanger are rings hung with hamsas (hand decorations). Chain for hanging.
Height: about 45 cm. Good condition. Slight bends and defects. The decoration at the bottom of the bowl is not original. The bowl or the hanger may have originally had another use, and were reused when preparing this lamp.

Pair of Torah finials. Persia, [first decades of the 20th century].
Engraved silver; Persian coins.
Tall and narrow finials. Engraved on the top part and on the rollers are Stars of David containing the word "Zion" (Hebrew). The body of the pomegranate-shaped finials and the entire surface are covered with dense decorations showing vegetal motifs, with birds. A Hebrew dedication (added later, in Jerusalem) reads: "Dedicated to G-d for the synagogue of King David Jerusalem, for the health of Shmuel Katan ben David and his wife Esther bat Yedidiya and his entire family, 5713 [1953]". Chains ending in Persian coins serve as bells.
Height: 29.5 cm. Good overall condition. One finial is missing a chain and a coin, the other is missing a coin. Slight bends.

One finial is decorated with carved reliefs in the shape of Prophet Zechariah's Tomb and the Western Wall; the other shows a relief of Rachel's Tomb and the Temple (Dome of the Rock) with names of sites in black ink. The inscription "Yerushalem" (Hebrew) appears on the lower part of the handles. Two cypresses are carved between the reliefs.
Height: 17 cm. Good condition. Cracks. Repairs of wood. Glued fractures.

Magnificent Torah mantle. [Germany or Czech Republic, late 17th century / early 18th century].
Silver and fabric thread embroidery on cardboard linings; velvet; fabric ribbons; sequins.
Exquisite mantle, adorned with rich embroidery of good quality on both sides.
Silver and colorful thread embroidery on dark red velvet and on heavy cardboard linings: a large embossed Torah crown on the top of the mantle, beneath it a silver thread embroidered inscription reading "Keter Torah". On the left and right are a pair of columns intertwined with grapevine branches with leaves and fruit. The columns are surmounted by two vases with rich vegetation. A "carpet" in the center of the mantle is adorned with dense and rich silver thread embroidery in vegetal and symmetric geometrical patterns; the flowers' leaves are adorned with blue velvet. On the lower part is an embroidered pattern of leaves and branches with pomegranates. The reverse of the mantle is also adorned with rich embroidery, in vegetal patterns with pomegranate-like fruit.
90X46 cm. Fair condition. Velvet is worn, torn and lacking in some places. Numerous spots of embroidery are unraveled. Tears to margins and to seams connecting the front and back sheets.

Wall decoration - worshippers at the Western Wall. [Eretz Israel, early 20th century].
Cotton and silk (machine embroidery).
In the center is a prayer scene at the Western Wall: men and women standing together and a few figures seated at their side. In the early 20th century, Gobelin tapestries of this kind, with depictions of the Holy Places, were popular souvenirs from Palestine and were sold in Central Europe.
Length: 30.5 cm, width: 43 cm. Good-fair condition. Slightly trimmed margins. Slightly faded. Mounted on cardboard.
