Pair of Torah finials. [Eretz Israel, late 19th or early 20th century].
Engraved and carved olive wood; ink.
One finial is decorated with carved reliefs in the shape of Prophet Zechariah's Tomb and the Western Wall; the other shows a relief of Rachel's Tomb and the Temple (Dome of the Rock) with names of sites in black ink. The inscription "Yerushalem" (Hebrew) appears on the lower part of the handles. Two cypresses are carved between the reliefs.
Height: 17 cm. Good condition. Cracks. Repairs of wood. Glued fractures.
