Amulet. [Iran or Kurdistan, 19th or early 20th century].
Ink on parchment.
Amulet reading (in Hebrew), "Be fruitful and multiply… and be blessed with a living seed, and suffer not illness… nor barrenness…", against the evil eye and disease, evil spells, aches and other matters. The Hebrew words "In the name of the G-d" at the top of the amulet are enlarged and enclosed in a decorated frame. The length of the amulet is inscribed with charts, illustrations and magic inscriptions.
8.5X115 cm. Fair condition. Dark stains, numerous creases and some tears. Damage to text, especially at the beginning and the end.

Amulet on parchment, in a long, narrow format - Ilan sefirot, including a detailed illustration of the progression of the Worlds according to the Kabbalah. Ends with a Hebrew inscription reading, "This sacred Ilan assists in all causes... and should be placed in a container of silver…"

Soldered and engraved silver.
Two rectangular amulets with eight sides, slightly curved, decorated with twisted silver wire frames, with four hooks attached to their backs. The 72-letter name of G-d is engraved on the amulets (about half on each), ending with "nun-kof-zayin" [standing for "The Wearer of This Amulet"].
Ca 8.5X6 cm. Fair condition. Breaks, stains and various defects.

1. Amulet shaped as a stylized leaf with two hooks at the top. [Persia, 19th century]. Soldered and engraved silver.
Engraved on the amulet are the first letters of the words of Psalm 121 - "A Song of Ascents". It ends with the inscription "In the name of Avigail Bat Miriam". 7X9 cm. Good condition. Slight defects.
2. Rectangular amulet with two hooks at the top. [Persia or Palestine, 20th century]. Soldered and engraved silver. Engraved on the amulet are the first letters of the liturgical song "Ana Be'Khoach", a fish shape and other initials. 6X5 cm. Good condition.

Two protective amulets in the shape of a palm (hamsa). In the center of one is a fish shape, and in the center of the other is a bird shape. Engraved eye-shaped decorations; letter combinations, initials and Biblical verses for protection and safeguarding.
Average size 10X16.5 cm. Good condition. Some stains and bends. Fish-decorated amulet missing some decorations.

Two Samaritan items, parchment manuscript and a letter:
· Samaritan parchment manuscript containing verses from the Torah and forms used for writing amulets, [16th century].
Begins with the ten utterances with which the world was created. Further in the manuscript are verses used for writing amulets requesting cures: Avraham praying for Avimelech, Moshe for Miriam, etc. The charts contain abbreviated words and magic letter combinations and at the bottom are Names of G-d. The shape of a Star of David with the letters of G-d's name.
In the 16th century, the Samaritans ceased processing skins for writing Torah scrolls but they continued to process skins for binding scrolls (codex) and prayer books.
Length: approximately 30 cm. width: 14-21 cm. Fair-good condition. Wear, tears, several tape repairs.
· Letter in Samaritan script, by Avraham son of Marchiv Tsedaka of Jaffa, to the High Priest Ya'akov son of Aharon on Mount Gerizim. Year 1329 from the Hijrah [1911].
Written and sent by Avraham son of Marchiv Tsedaka of Jaffa (1852-1928) to the High Priest Ya'akov (lived 1840-1916, served from 1874 until his death). Avraham son of Marchiv Tsedaka sends greets the High Priest and wishes him that in the year 1329 from the Hijrah, he should rejoice with his remaining son, Av Hasda (1885-1959), after his brother Azi died in his father's lifetime. At the end, are several lines in Arabic letters.
26.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Folding creases and wear. Stains. Tears to folding creases.
