Colored postcard binder produced by M.Z. Luria, photographer, Safed, 1930's.
Ten colored postcards attached (accordion). The postcards portray buildings and sites in Safed and Meron, including the tomb of RASHBI and the tomb of Rabbi Yochanan HaSandlar, a spring in Meron and the houses in the city of Safed. Annotation in German appears on the first postcard, the other postcards are annotated in Hebrew and in English.
Good condition. Cover is missing (?).

"Rosh Pina, from West", "Moshavah, Kineret", "Mescha (K'far Tavor)". Meir Taubenhaus-Marcus (1865-1938) – rabbi, journalist, translator and social activist; founder of the first Hebrew library in Safed, founder of the first Hebrew kindergarten in Safed and of "Bnei Brith" bureau. In general good condition. Stains, tear to edges of one postcard. Two postcards have not been used.

One hundred and nine postcards (out of a set of 118) with photographs of Eretz Israel, 9 were photographed during the years 1910-1921), printed using photogravure process by Jamal Brothers in 1921. The postcards were rearranged in 1980, each one mounted on a folded Bristol sheet and protected by greaseproof paper; All of the postcards are contained in a nice cloth box with the above writing in English. Box 30.5 cm. Very good condition.
