Copy no. 240 out of an edition of 500 copies, signed and dedicated by the author to Leivick Halper, [H. Leivick., Lodz: "Yung Idish", 1920.
"Yung Idish" was founded in Lodz in 1919 and acted until 1923. During its short existence, some of the most important Jewish creators between the two World Wars were among the members of this group: Uri Zvi Greenberg, Marc Chagall, Melekh Ravitch and others, and the brochures which the group published excelled as far as rich visual expression and diverse co-operations were concerned.

A large collection of books about the history of Yiddish and Jewish theater. Europe, USA and Israel [1885-1970].
Most of the books are in Yiddish, dealing with Yiddish theater in Europe and the USA. Booklets with Yiddish plays of late 19th century and several newspapers about Yiddish theater in New York in the 1940s. Among the books are "Lexicon" books in album-format, listing names of actors and creators related to Yiddish theater, with photographs. A few books in Hebrew are about Habima Theater and theater in Israel.
About 44 items (28 books, 11 brochures and 5 periodicals). Size and condition vary.

The writers' group that published the book was unable to find a printing press in the Soviet Union prepared to print a Hebrew book, and the manuscript was therefore sent to Berlin for printing.
