1. Issue of The Palestine Post reporting on the resolution of the UN to end the British mandate and establish two independent states in Palestine. Jerusalem, November 30, 1947.
The main headline of the issue announces the results of the vote in the UN assembly on the day before, on November 29, 1947: "Partition Approved by more than 2/3: 33 Vote Yes, 13 No, 10 Abstain".

(Hebrew), a broadside from August 1947 calling to take precautions when writing letters and maintain "information security": "Letters sent overseas (and often in the country as well) reveal secrets of the Yishuv to the government. Many often write with criminal indiscretion… our secrets must not be revealed to the authorities which are waiting for an opportunity to harm us!" (Hebrew).

The newspaper's headline: "The People Declare the State of Israel". The Declaration of Independence is printed on the first page, alongside photographs of Herzl, Weizmann, Ben-Gurion and others, and a group photograph of the members of the Provisional Government during their first session.

1. An issue from May 14. Its title: "The Mandate is Dead! Long Live Our State!" (Hebrew). Contains news about the departure of the High Commissioner, the establishment of the Israeli government, the battles in Gush Etzion and Jerusalem, the fear of the invasion of Arab countries to Israel, and more.

The issues contain an abundance of information as to the emergency situation in the young State of Israel. The first issue contains the text of the "Declaration about the Establishment of the State of Israel" (The Scroll of Independence) and a manifest issued by the Provisional Government.
Issue no. 1 is printed on lighter paper, as it appeared originally.
Iton Rishmi (Official Gazette) was published during the years 1948-1949; all in all, 50 issues were printed. With the start of the term of the Constituent Assembly, on February 16, 1949, the newspaper continued to appear under the title "Rashumot".
24 issues: VIII, 162 pp, (issue no. 25 is missing). Approx. 33 cm.
The issues were bound together (glued at their edges). The binding and spine are missing. Good-fair condition. Several stains, worming (especially on the lower part of the leaves). Filing holes in the right margins of all the leaves. Tears (most of them small). A large tear to one of the leaves (issue no. 22); the bottom part of the leaf is missing. Tears reinforced with tape to the general title page. Stamps.

The "BaMa'aleh" journal was one of the first journals of youth movements in Palestine. These issues were printed during the War of Independence and they contain, alongside the regular sections, articles and sections that reflect the events of the period: reports from the fronts, memorial leaves for the fallen, war songs, lists of youth from the rear settlements, many articles about the Palmach organization, and more. The Declaration of Independence is printed on the title page of the issue from May 1948.
The issues are accompanied by many illustrations and pictures.
Bound in two separate volumes, a volume per year. First volume: 519, [1] pp. Second volume: 487, [1] pp, approx. 28 cm. Good condition. Stains and minor blemishes. Stamps and notations on several pages. Worn and slightly scuffed bindings.

A leaflet with a "Prayer for the State of Israel" authored by the Chief Rabbis of Israel, Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Halevi Herzog and Rabbi Ben-Zion Meir Chai Uziel. Shmuel Yosef Agnon also took part in phrasing the prayer. It was first published in the newspapers "HaTzofeh" and "HaAretz" (September 20/21, 1948) and shortly afterwards was published in this leaflet.

A telegram that was sent to the general management of the "Anglo-Palestine" bank, on August 5, 1948. English.
The telegram describes the process of printing the first banknotes of the State of Israel and their arrival in Israel. The banknotes were printed when it was still uncertain whether an independent state will indeed be established and what its name will be and therefore, they were printed without indicting the name "Israel". Presumably, the telegram was sent by a representative of the bank who was abroad at the time.
16.5X18.5 cm. Fair condition. Torn filing holes and several additional small tears. Creases. Stamps and ink smudges.

Issued by the Ministry of Transport (during the first years of the State, the telephone service was operated by the post office, which reported to the Ministry of Transport). The book contains thousands of phone numbers and addresses in various cities in Israel, phone numbers of governmental offices, public institutions and businesses as well as advertisements for various places of business. It opens with "rules for correct use of the phone".
