Seven plates showing photographs that were taken at the International Exhibition of Chicago (the Colombian Exhibition) in 1893. The photographs are captioned in English on the plates.
The photographs show: * Nazha Kassik and Rahlo Jammel, two Jewish dancers, one from Jerusalem and the other from Beirut, who appeared at "The Moorish Palace" of the exhibition. * R.J. Levi, a Jew from Istanbul, director of "The Turkish Village" of the exhibition. * Three Jews from Istanbul sitting in "The Turkish Village", smoking a narghile and drinking coffee. * Solomon Levi, a Jew from Cairo, who supervised the display of "Sudanese Warriors in Cairo Street". * Far-Away Moses – an elderly Jew from Istanbul. * Rebecca Meise Alithensii, a 27-year-old Jewess from Istanbul.

Der Groyser Kundes, a zhurnal far humor, vitz un satire (The Big Stick, periodical for humor and satire), 33 issues, bound together. New York, 1913-1914. Yiddish.
33 issues of the periodical "Der Groyser Kundes", periodical for humor and satire: fifth year, issues 1-11 (January 3-March 14, 1913); sixth year, issues 3-24 (January 6-June 12, 1914). The issues contain many humorous caricatures and illustration.
The periodical was founded by the Jewish humorist and satirist Yossef Tunkel (der tunkeler) and was published between the years 1909-1927, first as a bi-weekly and later as a weekly. The first issues were titled "Der Groyser Kibitzer". ?33 issues (number of pages varies), approx. 34 cm. Bound together with a damaged paper cover which is partly detached (some loose or detached). Good-fair condition. Stains. Creases and tears. Several leaves are detached.

Three printed poems by the American Poet Israel Fine. [Baltimore, ca. 1920s]. Hebrew and English.
1. "Welcome, thrice welcome, ya leaders from afar" – a poem of greeting in honor of a visit of Zionist leaders to the USA, referring to Nahum Sokolow. dated 5682 [Baltimore, 1921/1922].
2."Happy New Year" – a poem for Rosh Ha'Shana 1924. Among others, the poem refers to the industrialist Henry Ford and to the Ku Klux Klan: "Never to cease! / Do away with the trebled 'K' / Stop their bray. / Make it short with Ox-Ford / And his cohort. / Annul the malice of our enemies". The poet's name appears in the poem in an acrostic.
3. "What is the house that we see arisen in the east of the city?" – a poem that was presumably written to note the decision about the establishment of the District of Columbia War Memorial commemorating the citizens of the district who were killed during World War I (Christians and Jews alike).
The poet Israel Fine (1847-1930) was born in Kaunas (Kovna) and immigrated to the USA in 1891. After a year in Philadelphia, he settled down in Baltimore, where he established the clothing company Israel Fine and Son. Fine was a friend of President Teddy Roosevelt and did much for Palestine. He was one of the delegates to the World Zionist Congress of 1901 and donated lands for the establishment of the "Nachalat Israel" neighborhood of Herzliya.

Ben Levi [Godchaux Baruch Weil]. Paris: Archives Israélites de France, 1842. French. Two parts in one volume. First edition.
A guidebook for Jewish youth by G. Ben Levi (the penname of Godchaux Baruch Weil), which was widespread in French speaking countries in the middle of the 19th century. The book addresses various aspects of the Jewish way of life and includes two plates – one depicting a Jewish soldier who was injured in the battle field crying "Shema Yisrael" and the other depicting burglars breaking into the house of a Jewish family.
The author, Godchaux Baruch Weil, (1806-1878) was born to a wealthy Jewish family in Paris. He wrote novellas and short stories and dozens of articles for the French Jewish newspaper Archives Israélites de France in which he expressed, among others, his opinion in favor of Jewish reform. Weil was the second-degree uncle of the well-known French writer Marcel Proust.

Collection of humorous stories about Jewish characters which were written for a Christian audience, accompanied by four engraved plates depicting four Jewish figures in a stereotypically anti-Semitic way. The book also contains a folded plate – musical notes of a song.
