1. Emissary letter [to the US] on parchment, from Rabbi Shalom Yosef Alsheich. Jerusalem, 1927. In it, he writes that he asked Rabbi Shalom Shachna Klir to ask certain individuals for financial support on his behalf.
Rabbi Shalom Yosef Alsheich was born in Yemen in 1849. He was a leading kabbalist and Rabbi of the Yemenite community. Died in 1943. Author of Dover Shalom (Otzar 18125).
2. Letter from Rabbi Shalom Klir to Rabbi Shalom Yosef Alsheich. "Please entreat on my behalf, and send a letter of request to the government in Jerusalem… to allow me to return to the Holy Land… please sign the letter with your ink-stamp and with that of the Yemenite Council, and also call HaRav Kook to sign…"
