Shaarei Tzedek, summary of the laws pertaining to the Land of Israel, by R. Avraham Danzig author of Chayei Adam. Vilna, 1812. First edition.
The book was written out of the Chayei Adam's yearning to immigrate to Eretz Israel (aspiration which was ultimately not realized), and it discusses the laws pertaining to Eretz Israel. In his preface, he relates of a vow he made to immigrate to Eretz Israel: "When the houses in the courtyard I live in fell down, in 1804… I made a great vow that when I merit to marry off my sons and daughters, and it is possible, I will immigrate to the holy city of Jerusalem, and spend the rest of my life there worshipping G-d…". He writes of his hopes to receive an immigration permit, and mentions the disciples of the Gaon of Vilna who immigrated before him: "I thought that perhaps I will merit… and the emperor will grant me a passport, just like several years ago R. Saadya, R. Chaim and R. Hirsh received one…". There are three lamentations at the beginning of the book, one to be recited upon entering Eretz Israel, one when reaching Jerusalem, and one when standing before the Western Wall.
The author, R. Avraham Danzig (1748-1821), was renowned for his famous work Chayei Adam. He served as dayan in Vilna and was the mechutan of the Gaon of Vilna (father-in-law of the granddaughter of the Gaon of Vilna, daughter of R. Yehuda Leib son of the Gaon of Vilna). See Hebrew description.

Including the rare leaf, leaf [2] of the preface (printed in a different printing press, and added after the printing to some copies only), in which the author points out two laws which are often overlooked by immigrants to Eretz Israel: the commandment of putting a fence on the roof, and the prohibition for Kohanim to enter the burial caves of Tzaddikim in Eretz Israel.

The ethical will of the Chayei Adam was later reprinted in many editions (by 1960, over twenty editions had been printed).

Kol HaTor, "abridgment of the seven Chapters of Redemption by the kabbalist R. Hillel Shklower, relative and disciple of the Gaon of Vilna". [Jerusalem: Herskowitz, 1946-1947].
Private printing (printed in 100-200 copies), in installments, without foreword and title page. The printing was never completed (interrupted in the middle of the fifth chapter, out of seven chapters).
This book is an important source of the views of the Gaon of Vilna on the Redemption, according to which, in these times of the beginning of the Redemption, one must act to hasten the Redemption with natural means, such as immigrating to Eretz Israel, settling it and building it. The composition is attributed to R. Hillel Shklower, son of R. Binyamin Rivlin of Shklow (see Hebrew description of item 112), who, according to a tradition in the Rivlin family, merited to study under the Gaon of Vilna who transmitted his views on this topic to him.
The authenticity of this composition, the doctrine it espouses and its attribution to the Gaon of Vilna has aroused controversy – see in more detail in the Hebrew description.
