Tamim Yachdav, teachings of R. Shimon bar Yochai in the Zohar, arranged in order of the Torah portions, by R. Menachem Mendel of Lublin, disciple of the Gaon of Vilna. Vilna, 1808.
The editor of this book was R. Avraham son of the Gaon of Vilna, who expanded on the work and added the textual corrections of his father the Gaon of Vilna on the Zohar in several places. At the beginning of the book, R. Avraham added a lengthy foreword, at the end of which he refers to the author as: " My friend and acquaintance, the great rabbi, well-versed in the realm of Torah, R. Menachem Mendel, maggid of Dusiat and Ponovezh". It had recently been discovered that R. Menachem Mendel was a disciple of the Gaon of Vilna: In a composition found in the Bar Ilan manuscripts (no. 416), the author writes that he was a childhood friend of R. Menachem Mendel, and that the latter was a close disciple of the Gaon of Vilna. For more information about the author, see: E. Katzman, R. Menachem Mendel Disciple of the Gaon of Vilna, Yeshurun, IV, 1999, pp. 365 onwards. This work was reprinted there.
