Portrait of Fanny Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, granddaughter of Moses Mendelssohn, sister of the composer Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, herself an outstanding composer, with her husband, the painter Wilhelm Hensel.
The engraving appeared in the bi-weekly "Faust, Polygrafhisch-illustrirte Zeitschrift fur Kunst, Wissenschaft Industrie und Unterhaltung", edited by Alois Auer, published in Vienna and Leipzig in mid-19th century.

The lithograph portrays a young boy in traditional clothes on the background of houses typical of north-Africa.
An identical lithograph appeared in the book "Algérie historique, pittoresque et monumentale" by Louis-Adrien Berbrugger (Paris, 1843).

Three Portfolios containing 36 prints (twelve prints in each portfolio), after etchings by Ephraim Moses Lilien. Each print is titled in Hebrew, and some are signed and titled in the plate. Each of the portfolios contains a booklet with the list of prints and an introduction by Eugen Hoeflich.
Total of 36 print-plates and three booklets, contained in three portfolios. Plates: 30X38 cm. Booklets: [8] pp, 37.5 cm. Portfolios: 32.5X40 cm. Good condition. Some creases. Minor blemishes to corners and margins of plates. One plate has tears at the margins reinforced on the back with adhesive tape. Some tissue guards are lacking or damaged. Blemishes and tears to portfolios (some repaired with adhesive tape). Portfolios' flaps are loose or partly detached. One flap is entirely detached.

A portfolio with twelve woodcuts by Joseph Budko. The woodcuts depict prominent figures and events in the book of Genesis, including Cain, Noah's Ark, Hagar, Rachel, Joseph and his brothers, Jacob's blessing and more. The portfolio was published in an edition of 100 numbered copies, this being copy number 41. All of the woodcuts are signed in pencil by Budko.

Copy no. 15 out of an edition of 100 copies, with an engraving signed by Pasternak – portrait of the author Leo Tolstoy. Blue leather binding, embossed in gold. Top edge gilt.
