A fine monograph about the painter Leonid Osipovich Pasternak (1862-1945) – with two essays by Haim Nachman Bialik and Max Osborn and 148 reproductions of works by Pasternak (some in-text and some on plates). The reproductions were printed in different techniques; some are lithographs.
Copy no. 15 out of an edition of 100 copies, with an engraving signed by Pasternak – portrait of the author Leo Tolstoy. Blue leather binding, embossed in gold. Top edge gilt.
[6] leaves, [3] plates, 98 pp, LXXIII plates, [7] pp, 32 cm. Good condition. Some stains and creases. First leaves are slightly loose. Several sheets are unopened at bottom margins. Rubbings, peelings and minor blemishes to binding.
