Large "Shiviti", illustrated by hand. Zakho, "Ashur" (Iraqi Kurdistan), 1932.
Black ink and paint on paper.
In the center "Lamenatze'ach Beneginot Shir Mizmor" shaped as a Menorah, with the title "Shiviti" above it. Additional verses and words of protection surround the Menorah. On both sides of the Menorah appear stair ramps and hand palms holding chains ending with two Temple vessels. A decoration depicting the Dome of the Rock appears at the base of the Menorah, inscribed: "Mekom Mikdash BeYerushalayim". In addition appear the Western Wall and Rachel's Tomb. Illustrations of the Tablets of the Law and three crowns appear on top. Decorated with vegetal and geometric patterns.
On lower part, from right to left, appears a dedication: "Zot HaMenorah … dedicated … Darwish ben Hiti…" (Hebrew).
Approx. 74X55 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains and dampstains, folding marks, creases and tears. Damages to ink. Framed. Unexamined out of frame.

On the right and left side appear illustrations of Tablets of the Law with the Ten Commandments, Stars of David (with "Zion"), Torah Crowns, two Hamsas consisting of verses and the "Priestly Benediction" and various letter combinations. Ink and paint on paper.
Elaborate "Shiviti", presented as a wedding gift. The surface and borders are decorated with flowers and plants in shades of green-purple, with embossed golden decorations. In the center, within an inner frame, appear three rhombuses with wedding blessings; on the lower part a "LaMenatze'ach" Menorah surrounded by semi-circles with blessings for the "Menorah" owner; four domes appear in the four corners of the inner frame, with the names of Eliyahu HaNavi, Rashbi and Rabbi Meir Ba'al HaNess ("BeSiman Tov veHatzlacha" - written in the fourth dome).

Ink, paint and collage on paper.
"Lamenatze'ach" Menorah in the center. Four colorful circles in the four corners - two blue and two red. Two branches with flowers on upper part of leaf. Two arms stretch out of the Menorah's base with outstretched fingers for the "Priestly Benediction" and some vessels of the Temple made out of colorful pieces of paper pasted as a collage. Blessings are written on the right column and on the left column are some additional prayers, names of angels and signature of the writer.

Ink and paint on paper.
"Shiviti" serving also as an amulet for protection of baby and mother. In the center appears a "Lamenatze'ach" Menorah with Tablets of the Law above it. Two additional Menorahs in the left and right columns with verses of "Shir LaMa'alot" and "Ana BeKo'ach", with Hamsahs above them with verses for protection and blessing. On the lower part of the columns appear texts for protecting a baby and his mother with remnants of illustrations (very faded) of the protective angels. Remnants of illustrations in color, of windows and decorated arches with initials and Kabbalistic letter combinations. The frame consists of angels' names. Dedication: "Zot HaMenorah…lizchut Rabbi Hananya Hacohen" (a person of virtues, known for miracles, rabbi in Marrakesh).

Drawn on the left and on the right are five circles, decorated with geometric patterns, with the verses of "Ana Bekoach". The sixth circle is not drawn (a sketch appears in pencil), and last two columns of the liturgy are squeezed into the fifth circle in initials.
