Sefer Yalkut Zion, composed of three sublime essays… (a.) colonization of Eretz Israel, (b.) work in our land, (c.) Hebrew language, by David…Elazar Haim Yodman. Szydłowiec, Poland, [1926]. Hebrew.
Handwritten manuscript by David Yodman, son of rabbi of Szydłowiec, near Radom. The book, written in a rabbinic language, opens with an introduction by the author: "Presented…a book with matters from the Bible, the Talmud, both Babylonian and Jerusalemite…and some novellae…which prove how important it is to settle Eretz Israel!". The author continues and claims, on the title page, that he authored books titled "Sh'lal David" and "Nefesh David" (it seems that these books, too, were never published). In the introduction the author claims that he was imprisoned for ten weeks for supporting Zionism.
Rabbi David Yodman was murdered in the holocaust. This essay has never been published. 64 pp, 16 cm. Good condition. Slight wear at margins. Ink smears.
