Letter by Rebbe of Bolchov Rabbi Shlomo Chaim Perlow (letter in Yiddish to his daughter and son-in-law). Bolchov, [post 1924].
The righteous Ga’on Rabbi Shlomo Chaim Perlow (1880-1943), son of the Rebbe Rabbi Ya’akov of Novominsk and son-in-law of the Rebbe Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel-Padua Av Beit Din of Bolichov (Galicia). Exalted genius and author of many books in Halacha and Hassidism. At the age of 12 already corresponded in Halacha with Torah giants of his generation. From 1904 succeeded his father-in-law as Rebbe and Rabbi of Bolichov where he established an important Yeshiva. Perished in the Holocaust.
Postcard (with printed logo) 15X10.5 cm., written on both sides (approx. 33 lines) in his handwriting and signature. Good-fair condition, wear, slight tear on fold, stamp torn off.

The holy Ga’on Rabbi Shlomo Halberstam (1907-2000), son of Rebbe Rabbi Ben-Tzion Halberstam author of "Kedushat Tzion", arrived in New York after the Holocaust and reestablished the Bobov dynasty, which is one of the largest and most dominant Hassidic courts.
Official stationery, 27 cm. some of the handwritten letter photocopied, signature in his holy handwriting: “Shlomo Halberstam”. Good condition, folding marks.

A bundle of letters by the Rebbe of Zmigrod Rabbi Yisrael Halberstam, and documents signed by Chief Rabbi Ben Tzion Chai Uziel and Rabbi Yisrael Halberstam, in regard to the Rebbe's travels, as an emissary of Rabbi Uziel, for fundraising in the Far East. Bombay (India), Singapore and Sydney (Australia). 1947.
Interesting letters, one is a detailed long letter (9 pages) with many details of his travels including a description of the state of Jewry in Bombay and in the Jewish camps of Afghanistan refugees.

The holy Rebbe Rabbi Baruch Hager of Seret-Vizhnitz (1895-1963, Otzar HaRabbanim 4066), fourth son of the "Ahavat Yisrael" of Vizhnitz. Ordained as rabbi by Maharam Arik and Rabbi A. M. Steinberg of Brody. Served in the rabbinate from 1923. In 1936 was coronated as Rebbe in Seret. In 1947 immigrated to Haifa where he reestablished his Beit Midrash and congregation institutions. Member of Council of Torah Sages.

Letter in the holy handwriting and signature of the Rebbe Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Hager of Vizhnitz, to Rabbi Moshe Babad. [Bnei Brak, 1957].
Invitation to circumcision of his youngest child – Rebbe Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager, “I am grateful to announce the birth of my son… and I hereby take pleasure in inviting my relatives to come and celebrate with me in the circumcision ceremony of my son…”.
The Rebbe Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Hager (1916-2012), son of the Rebbe Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager – the "Imrei Chaim" of Vizhnitz. In his youth he already served as rabbi of Vizhnitz Hassidim in the town of Wilkowitz. In 1944 he escaped from the inferno and immigrated to Eretz Israel. Upon his immigration was appointed as Rosh Yeshiva of the Vizhnitz Yeshiva by virtue of which he assisted his father, who also survived the Holocaust, with the establishment and expansion of Vizhnitz Hassidism. He succeeded his father after his death in 1972 and serves as Rebbe of Vizhnitz for about fourty years. His sons are Rebbes Rabbi Israel and Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager. His sons in law are the Rebbe of Belz, the Rebbe of Satmar and the Rebbe of Skverrer.

An interesting letter signed by Rebbe Yitchak of Amshinov, New York, [1950-s].
In this letter, the Rebbe tells of his engagement in a second marriage [after he lost his wife and all his children in the Holocaust] "after all the tribulations that have happened to me until now, I notify you that thank G-d, I have become engaged…". He writes of his great longing to "live in Eretz Yisrael which is the land that Hashem seeks at all times and we should merit rejoicing together…".
Rebbe Yitzchak Kalisch son of Rebbe Yosef of Amshinov, escaped to Vilna during the Holocaust years and thereafter to Japan and Shanghai, together with his uncle Rebbe Shimon Shalom. From there he reached New York where he established his beit midrash and was one of the leading rebbes of Polish Chassidim in the US. He was an outstanding impressive figure in his love for his fellow Jews as passed down to him by his holy ancestors from Warka. Died in Adar 1993 and buried in Tiberias.

Disciple of Rabbi Meir Shapiro of Lublin. During his twenties was appointed as rabbi of the town of Vidislav, Poland. In 1939 he departed to London to visit his father-in-law and did not return to Poland due to the outbreak of the war. The letter concerns purchase of books and holy objects in Jerusalem. The rest of the letter is about various Torah thoughts and a blessing of mazal tov on the appointment of Rabbi Moshe Halberstam to the rabbinate, "… your presiding should be for many days and years in good health and bringing glory to your holy fathers".
Rebbe Yitzchak Horowitz (1900-1978), son of Rebbe Naftali of Malitz (1845-1896, author of "Kedushat Naftali" descendant of the Rupshitz dynasty), served for sixty years as rabbi and rebbe in Vohlin and in the US. Authored "Birkat Avraham" and "Kevod HaShabbat" etc.

Petition to Rabbi Herzog, who served at the time as Chief Rabbi of Eretz Israel, to do everything in his power for the rescue of Rebbe Rabbi Moshe Yechezkel Rotenberg of Bendin, who was imprisoned in Dachau concentration camp in Germany. “A matter which is life threatening to Rabbi Moshe Yechezkel Rotenberg… the torture and suffering which he is enduring since he was confined in Dachau is indescribable…”.
