Anthology of folk proverbs about Jews, according to subjects. The book was edited by Ernst Hiemer (1900-1947), a German author who was close to Julius Streicher (one of the Nazi leaders in Germany and editor of the anti-Semitic newspaper "Der Stֳ¼rmer" - publisher of this book - who was sentenced to death at the Nuremberg Trials). Hiemer authored three books published during World War II, all anti-Semitic in nature. 210 pp, 21 cm. Good condition. Binding slightly damaged.

First published in German in "Biaritz" (Berlin 1868). Served as an inspiration for the ג€Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion.ג€ The authorג€™s name is a pseudonym of Hermann Goedsche. 44 pp, with 14 picture-plates, including of the cemetery and of Jews wearing a Yellow Star. 21 cm. The documents presented here are from its last years, when the editor was Isaac Heinman (until 1938), and from its final year, when the Journal was edited by Dr. Leo Beck, until its closure by the Nazi government. The collection contains printed postcards sent to subscribers, catalogues and announcements regarding the publication of books (the writings of Moses Mendelssohn), a regulations booklet, printed leaflets and single sheets, annual reports, Probebogen - a promotional booklet informing about the publication of a scientific edition of Tractate Brachot, and more. Size varies, good to very good condition.

Upon the outbreak of World War II, printing of the edition was ceased and eventually only the second part was published. In 1990 two additional parts were printed, published by NIK - Nederlands- Israelietisch Kerkgenootschap - Jewish Community in Amsterdam (also translated into Dutch with commentary by Hemelburg).
Margins bear glosses in pencil, in Hebrew and Dutch. Includes two printed leaves in Dutch regarding subscribersג€™ payments, February and April 1938. Very good condition, not bound, contained in dismantled cardboard case.

Unique photographs of Lodz artists prior and during the Holocaust, while they lived in the ghetto. All are annotated in pen on the reverse: "In the atelier of Szylis, 1930"; "In Szylis's home", "HaShomer HaTza'ir" training group 1939?" The names of the photographed artists are included: Maurici Trembach on death-bed in the Lodz ghetto, late 1940 (next to him is the artist Zvi Hirsch Szylis with a Yellow Star on his garment), artist Jacob Meitler (1897-?), photographer Mendel Grossman (1917-1945) who perpetuated the ghetto with his camera and was active for the Judenrat, Zvi Hirsch Szylis (1909-1987) himself, and others. One photograph was taken in Tel Aviv in 1927 and annotated by hand in an identical handwriting to that which appears on all of the other photographs. 14X9 cm (except for the last one), good condition. Divided on the reverse for use as postcard.
