Archive of manuscripts and drafts by the writer Mordechai Ben-Yehezkel (1883-1970). Ben-Yehezkel (Halperin) was born in Glinyany, present day Ukraine, and made Aliya to Eretz Israel in 1920. He worked in the Lewinsky Teachers Seminary in Tel-Aviv; between the 1920s and 1940s he worked as a teacher in the "Mizrahi" Teachers Seminary in Jerusalem. Ben-Yehezkel was well known as a researcher of Chasidut and a prolific editor of folk stories. The book "Sefer HaMa'assiyot" was published in six volumes and in many papers and periodicals.
The archive presented here includes drafts of typewritten articles; handwritten copies gathered from the Holy Scriptures and other sources, manuscripts of stories, newspaper clippings and several photographs. Total of hundreds of items. Size varies. General condition - good.
