Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich, Rabbi of Shamlau (Simleul Silvaniei, 1863-1944, Otzar HaRabbanim 18739) was the grandson of Rabbi Avraham Yehuda Schwartz, author of Kol Aryeh, Rabbi of Mad. A Kabbalist ga'on, one of Hungary's leading Orthodox Rabbis and halachic authorities, a chassid of the Rebbe, author of Kedushat Yom Tov of Siget, and a close friend and admirer of the Rebbe's son, Rebbe Yoel of Satmar. Among his books: Responsa Lechem Shlomo, Tiyul BaPardes, Rachame Ha'Av etc. Rabbi Shalom Eliezer of Retzfert said about him that The Rabbi of Shamlau was unparalleled in his generation in answering halachic questions, and Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Freund of Nasuad, a leader of thousands of chassidim, would humble himself before him. The Darchei T'shuva called him "The Second Sha'agat Aryeh".
