On the title leaf owner's inscription in antique handwriting: "Belonging to Rabbi Zvi Hirsh son of Rabbi Tanchum of Volknik" [a city near Vilna]. Apparently, he is Rabbi Zvi Hirsh son of Rabbi Tanchum Rabbi of Horodna (Grodno), author of Zera Gad on the Passover Haggadah (Otzar HaRabbanim 17108, died in 1831), brother of Rabbi Yissachar Ber of Vilna, author of Ma'ase Rav.
Many handwritten glosses [written by several people?] scattered over all the book's leaves (abput one hundred glosses).
