Opening: $1,500
Unsold
Sefer HaPardes is handwritten by Rabbi Asher ben Chaim of Montsant [Spain end of 15th century]
A portion of the introduction to this book is on the halachot of blessings. This book was published about 25 years ago as a manuscript by Oxford University. Besides the Oxfoed copy, only one other copy of the manuscript is known, at the Ginsburg Collection located in the Moscow library.
Although it is only a portion of the manuscript it is an important remnant of a significant composition from Spain in which most of the author's manuscripts have been lost after the expulsion from Spain in 1492.
This item is accompanied by a letter from Professor Shlomo Tzuker, a leading expert on Jewish manuscripts, to validate its authenticity.
4 Pages. 29.5 cm. Clear good quality paper. Slight damage to the wide margins
