A photocopy of a letter of dedication by Begin from 1950 is pasted unto the front flyleaf. His own signature appears on the title page: "The way is yet long (quote from a poem by Bialik)".
514, [6], pages + [7] plates, 20.5 cm. Good condition. Few creases. Stains, primarily to first and last leaves. Paper strips are pasted unto the seam connecting the endpapers to the binding. Slight defects to the corners of the binding and the spine.

Two letters to the author and playwright Israel Gold. In a letter from 1966 Ben-Gurion refers to Gold's book "The Refugee" and writes "…I am saying that if I were asked whether to publish this book it would have been difficult for me to give a positive answer" (Hebrew).
[2] leaf (thin paper), approx. 21 cm. Good overall condition. A number of small tears at margins of leaves. Torn filing holes at margins of both letters (slightly affecting the text of one letter). Bottom right corner of one leaf is lacking (no text omission).
Creases and folding marks. Stains.

Collection of items of Ya'akov Landheim (1921-1948), born in Vienna, Austria, member of the Netzach youth group and HaShomer HaTzair in Austria. Landheim was wounded on Kristallnacht and immigrated to England shortly before the outbreak of WWII. He immigrated to Palesine in 1945 together with 20 friends from hachshara, spent half a year in Mishmar HaEmek, finally joining Kibbutz HaMa'apil. He served during the War of Independence, and died in an attack on Kibbutz HaMa'apil in March 1948. His grave was the first to be dug on the Kibbutz land.
The collection contains: * Photo album with about 80 photos of Landheim and his family (a few photos document the youth group in Austria, the Shomer HaTza'ir members in England and a number of photos from Palestine). * About 30 family letters (most sent to Landheim from his mother, sister and aunt), with several letters by Landheim to his mother and aunt. * Condolence letter on Landheim's death, written on vellum and signed by David Ben Gurion.
Size and condition vary. Overall good condition.

The collection includes photographs of Loren from the set (with the actors Peter Finch and Jack Hawkins, while filming scenes in a kibbutz and in an orange grove, meeting IDF soldiers and more), photographs of battle scenes, The "Kibbutz" built in Tel- Avdon for photography, photograph of the producer Kurt Unger with lieutenant general Dan Boehm (representative of IDF Spokesperson unit sent to supervise the photography of Israeli soldiers) and two portrait photographs of Loren (identical), both signed by her.
Enclosed: a printed card: "Thank you for your help on 'Judith'. Sincerely, Kurt Unger, Nahariya, November 1964".
Lot of 29 photographs, arranged in an album. Twenty-seven photographs of approx. 20.5X25 cm and two portrait photographs of approx. 15X10 cm. Condition varies. Good-fair overall condition. An octagonal table with inlaid wood pattern on the table top, and inscriptions in black ink: "Yerushalem", "Hebron", "Mount of Olives", and "Jordan" (Hebrew). The table stands on a single leg, spiral, which is positioned between three curved legs.
Diameter: 46 cm. Height: 77 cm. Fair-poor condition. Part of the inlaid wood is lacking and peeling. Some wood pieces along the edge are lacking. One leg is broken (half of it is missing).

2. Medal in memory of R. Akiva Eiger, 1937. White metal, plated.
Obverse: portrait of R. Akiva Eiger, surrounded by the Hebrew legend "Portrait of the head of Diaspora Jewry, servant to the servant of the Lord, R. Akiva Eiger – rabbi of Posen, in memory of the day of his passing, 13 Tishrei, 1837". Reverse: decorative frame, a pair of lions holding the Tablets of the Law, and a German legend.
