Passages from the traditional text alongside poetry and prose passages about the hardships which the people of Israel went through, when the State of Israel was established and during its settlement. At the end appear humorous passages about life in the kibbutz and the declaration: "This year some of us are in Kerem – next year in Gal-On!". Alongside the printed text appear, in pencil, names of the members who are reading the Haggadah and other instructions. The Haggadah, nicely illustrated (some illustrations signed in the plate "ש" and some "א"), was typewritten, mimeographed on leaves in different colors and bound with a red ribbon. The wrapper of the Haggadah is decorated by hand in ink and gouache.
Kibbutz Kerem Shalom was established in 1956 as a Nahal settlement named "Kerem Avshalom" (after Avshalom Feinberg) and from 1957 until 1968, when it became a civil settlement, it was occupied by "HaKibutz HaArtzi" core groups.

Copy of a handwritten letter of gratitude, printed in lithographic printing and sent to those who congratulated Sir Moses Montefiore on his 100th birthday. Addressees' details and the date of writing (June 4th) were added by hand (by Montefiore's secretary, Louis Loewe).
The Montefiore coat of arms is embossed on top of the leaf with the word "Yerushalem" in Hebrew.
Leaf 32.5 cm. Good condition. Stains (some parts of the leaf are slightly darkened). Folding marks and slight creases.
Enclosed: A copy of an autograph letter from Montefiore's secretary, Eliezer Loewe. The letter, in lithographic printing, was sent to L.P. Jacobs with Montefiore's letter. In this letter Loewe apologizes for the delay in sending the letter due to Montefiore's (medical) condition.

Seven letters and two postcards handwritten and signed by Prof. Moritz (Moshe) Lazarus. Leipzig (one letter is from Nice), June to November 1878. German.
All the postcards and letters are handwritten and signed "Lazarus" or "L". The items are addressed to Mr. Aldenhoven, secretary of the Society for German Literature (Verein für Deutsche Litteratur), and primarily deal with literary and research matters – publication of articles in various periodicals, payment requests, etc. Some of the letters are composed of several pages.
Prof. Moritz (Moshe) Lazarus (1824-1903) was a Jewish-German philosopher, ethnologist and psychologist, founder of national psychology and comparative psychology.
Lazarus's father, Aharon Levin Lazarus, was the head of the Filehne (today Wielen) Beth Din and Yeshiva and a pupil of Rabbi Akiva Eger. Lazarus studied Hebrew literature and history continuing to philosophy and law at Berlin University completing his doctorate in 1850. From 1860-1866, he served as professor at the University of Bern and in 1866, returned to Berlin as a professor of philosophy at the Berlin Military Academy and in 1868, at the University of Berlin.
Lazarus, who was counted among the Jewish elite in Germany, had an important role in the public and intellectual life of Prussian Jewry. He was a member of the Assembly of Delegates (Repräsentanten-Versammlung) of the Berlin Jewish community, served as vice president of the Jewish-German Community Alliance (Deutsch-Israelitischer Gemeindebund), presided over the Berlin branch of the Alliance Israelite Universelle, over the Leipzig Convention (1869) and served as vice-president of the aid committee to Russian and Romanian Jewry, besides other public positions. On his 70th birthday, he was honored with the title of "Geheimrat", a title granted to the elite of the leading professors in German universities.

The artist Walter Trier (1890-1951), born in Prague, was mainly known for his illustrations for children's books by Erich Kestner, and for the periodical "Lilliput".
In the years 1910-1936 Trier lived in Berlin and later relocated to London, where he was engaged, among others, in advertising propaganda material against the Nazi regime.

Haim Nachman Bialik, a handwritten letter (Hebrew) to the "organizers of the Jubilee festival for David Frishman in Warsaw". Written on official stationery. Odessa, February 1914.
In his letter Bialik refers to an event planned to be held in Warsaw in honor of David Frishman's birthday, and he informs the organizers that he cannot assist them.
"… Despite wishing to be helpful from here, I cannot do anything for Frishman if Ussishkin and Klausner are not with me. All my efforts to arouse any movement toward the Frishman jubilee were in vain… I inform you in advance that there is no hope in Odessa…The local population is crass and has no regard for literature or other noble matters".

Jacob Israel De Haan (1881-1924), Jewish attorney, journalist and poet, born in the Netherlands. In 1919 he immigrated to Palestine with the hope of joining the Zionist Movement. After being rejected by the circles and institutions he wished to enter, he joined the ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) circles in Jerusalem and began acting against the Zionist community. Among other things, he organized a Haredi delegation to Emir Abdullah, King of Jordan. De Haan was assassinated in what is considered the first political murder in Palestine.
Norman Nachman Matityahu Bentwich (1883-1971), jurist, Zionist activist and officer in the British Army during World War I, was sent to the Palestine front, and in 1920 was appointed as legal advisor to the Mandate Government. His activity in favor of the Jewish Yishuv aroused opposition among Palestine Arabs which reached its peak when in 1929 there was an attempt to assassinate him.
