Miniature photo album in a decorated stone binding, crafted by prisoners in the Internment Camps in Cyprus, November 1947.
Fourteen miniature photographs (2.5X3.5 cm.) of the Internment Camp in Cyprus: Guard-posts, barbed-wires, residential buildings, etc. The album was presented as a birthday gift with a handwritten dedication: "For Genia on her birthday Cyprus, 27.11.1947". The album's binding consists of two stone plates. The upper plate is decorated with artistic illustrations of barbed wires, the bridge which connected two of the "winter camps" in Cyprus and the letter "G" (probably the initial of the receiver of the album). 4.5X8.5 cm. Fair condition. The stone plates were broken and glued together.
