Ketubah recording the marriage of the groom Mordechai called Yisrael son of Chagi Avraham with the bride Esther daughter of Nissan. Yazd, Sivan 1885. At the top of the ketubah are illustrations of a large leaf flanked by peacocks, in purple ink and pencil. Boteh ornamented frame. At the bottom: Tosefet Ketubah in Judeo-Persian. Another tosefet, from Iyar 1910. With the signature of Rabbi Moshe son of R’ Ya’akov (descendant of the Or Shraga and of Yazd sages), among other signatures. 44X70 cm. Fair-poor condition. Open tears. Coarse tears, with damage to text, folding marks, stains and creases.
