Pottery bowl inscribed in Babylonian Jewish Aramaic. Ca. 5th-7th cent. CE. Incantation inscriptions written in a circular pattern on the inside surface of the bowl: "For Your Name's sake I act. This is an amulet for the house, for the dwelling and for the threshold and for the shop of Ḥušaʾa son of Šīlta, and (may) your doors be open on the first day of the month and --- […] Just as rain is released from heaven, may grace and mercy be released upon his house and upon his doors and upon his buying and upon his se[lling] and upon his shop. Peace unto you, O (inhabitants of) towns that are tranquil and sleep. Diameter: 17. 5cm, height: 7.5 cm.
