Ya'arot Dvash, homiletics of Rabbi Yehonatan Eibeshitz. Parts 1-2. Karlsruhe, 1779-1782. First edition.
On the title page of Part 2 appears the signature of Rabbi "Yisrael ben Rabbi Y. L. of Leszno" in handwritten square letters. Copied on the margins of Part 1 are glosses [in a handwriting similar to the square letters] of sources, proofs and queries titled at the top of the pages R.L.Z.".
The work "Rishon L'Zion" on "Ya'arot Dvash", by the renowned Torah genius Rabbi Yeshaya Pik-Berlin, was first printed from a manuscript in an edition of "Or HaSefer" (Jerusalem, 1983). From the examination of the manuscript compared to this edition, many differences were found which were not printed.
Lacking copy: 2-116 leaves; [4] 112 leaves. (Originally; [4] 116 leaves: [4] 116 leaves). 20.5 cm. Good-fair condition, wear and stains, missing tears to title page of Part 2. Handwritten notes are partially cut off.
