R. Naftali Tzvi Yehuda Berlin – the Netziv of Volozhin (1817-1893), leading Torah scholar of his generation and dean of the Volozhin yeshiva. He authored many works, including: HaEmek She'elah, HaEmek Davar, Responsa Meshiv Davar, and more.
