Jean Giono's story "Provence", with illustrations and lithographs by Jewish artist Moïse Kisling. Includes twelve full-page color lithographs and lithographic illustrations incorporated in the text (unbound signatures held in cardboard case). In addition, a portfolio with 14 lithographs that appear in the text, printed on separate leaves.
Copy no. 74 out of an edition of 45 copies printed on Dutch paper (numbered 61-105), including the portfolio of lithographs, printed on Chinese paper. Hand-colored engraving on the cover. The two portfolios are held in a stiff cardboard case, with vellum spine.
Story with lithographs - 128 pp., 39 cm. Very good condition. Light signs of wear. Light damage to cardboard case spine.
