Book about the life of "Lips Tullian" (ca.1675-1715), leader of a gang of robbers in Saxony and Bohemia in the 18th century. The book describes the crimes that he committed; his execution in Dresden and the members of his gang. 11 engraved-plates: 10 plates with portraits of criminals, some of which are Jewish (two folding plates); one engraving (folded) depicting execution by hanging.
[7] leaves, 232, 260 pages, [6] leaves + [11] engraved-plates, 20 cm. Good condition. Stained (some dark stains). Some of the leaves’ margins are chopped. Stains, creases and tears on the folding plates (one plate restored with adhesive tape, placed on folding mark). New binding, with leather spine and corners.
