Two letters, by father and son - Rabbi Aryeh Zvi Partzovitz and his son, Rabbi Nachum Partzovitz: · Letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Aryeh Zvi Partzovitz to the "Central Office for Election Matters of the Community Governments of the East Districts of Vilna". Trakai, 1928. · Letter with New Year wishes and marriage blessings, handwritten and signed by Rabbi Nachum Partzovitz. Jerusalem, Elul 1976. Rabbi Aryeh Zvi Partzovitz, son-in-law of Rabbi Nachum Greenhaus, Av Beit Din of Trakai near Vilna, succeeded his father-in-law in the rabbinate in 1923. He was murdered in the Holocaust together with his family and members of his community, on Erev Yom Kippur 1941. His son, Rabbi Nachum Partzovitz (1923-1986), disciple of the Birkat Shmuel Yeshiva and of the Mir Yeshiva in Mir and in Shanghai, son-in-law of Rabbi Chaim Shmuelevitz. A leading teacher of Torah of the previous generation, he was especially renowned for his brilliant in-depth discourses.
