Handwritten signed and stamped letter by Rabbi Ya’akov Chai Zerihan, to Rabbi Shlomo Buber. Tiberias [between 1902 and 1906]. Content of the letter refers to the exchange of his book Cheleck Ya’akov for books of Midrash published by Rabbi Shlomo Buber, as well as greetings.
The Ga’on Rabbi Ya’akov Chai Zerihan (1869-1953, Otzar HaRabbanim 10063), among the scholars of his generation. Son-in-law of Rabbi Binyamin Chamoy author of Amtachat Binyamin. After Rabbi Eliyahu Yaloz passed away he was appointed as chief Av Beit Din of the city of Tiberias. Recipient of the letter, Rabbi Shlmo Buber (1827-1907), Torah scholar and famous researcher. Edited and published many books, especially known for his contribution to the research of Midrash literature.
