A letter by Rabbi Baruch Dov Leibowitz, Rosh Yeshiva of Kaminetz, to Rabbi Yerucham Asher Warhaftig. Kaminetz, 1932.
A letter of thanks for the book Divrei Yerucham (Belogorya, 1931): "To The Renowned Gaon… Rabbi Yerucham Asher Warhaftig in Warsaw… I have received his nice book… Torah scholars in our yeshiva find pleasure in his book".
Rabbi Baruch Dov (Ber) Leibowitz (1864-1940), one of the leading disciples of Rabbi Chaim of Brisk in the Volozhin Yeshiva. He succeeded his father in law, Rabbi Zimmerman in the Halusk rabbinate and established a yeshiva there. After 13 years, he was asked to serve as Rosh Yeshiva of Knesset Beit Yitzchak in Slobodka which eventually moved to Vilna and Kaminetz. He was one of the leading Torah teachers of his generation. He wrote Birkat Shmuel on Talmudical issues – his Torah teachings are one of the basic building blocks of Torah study in depth.
