Letter handwritten and signed by R. Elazar Menachem Man Shach. [Bnei Brak], Elul 1981.
In response to the letter of a young student, who asked whether he should change his prayer rite to the one followed in the yeshiva; R. Shach objects to making changes in one's custom, and writes that although when leading the prayers one must follow the prayer rite of the congregation, in one's personal prayers, the family custom must be maintained.
R. Shach concludes with blessings for the new year.
