A collection of documents related to the soldier Eliyahu Trotzky who fell in the line of duty during the War of Independence while serving as a radio operator in the Latroun battle. 1940 till 1970s.
Among them: * A letter of condolences with the name of the soldier, inscribed on vellum, signed by David Ben-Gurion. * A printed letter of condolences from David Ben-Gurion on the tenth anniversary of the War of Independence. (dated 27.03.58). * A printed letter to the father of the soldier from the Department of Commemoration in the Ministry of Defense. A photograph of the soldier which will be published in the "Yizkor" book is enclosed. * A printed commemoration leaf from his sister. * Printed leaves with names of war casualties and the numbers of their graves. * An identity card of the soldier. 1945. * Two badges to family members of war casualties awarded to the parents of the soldier by the Ministry of Defense, 1966. * Badge from the Jerusalem March. 1967. * Two identification tags.
