A calling card of Rabbi "Yoseph Wertheim, Rabbi of Hrubishov, Lublin District".
On reverse side of card, a letter in his handwriting and signature: "My honored friend… I apologize… and Hashem should let us reunite with pleasure…".
Rabbi Yoseph Wertheim (1882-1946, Otzar HaRabbanim 8291, Encyclopedia of Chassidut, 2, pages 110-111), son of Rebbe Shimon Shlomo Wertheim of Bender. Rabbi in Ustila, Hrubishov and succeeded his father in the rabbinate and as rebbe of Bender. At the end of his life, he settled in Jerusalem.
