1-4. Sefer Divrei Yossef, by Joseph (Yehossef) Schwarz. Halacha and Astronomy of Eretz Israel. Jerusalem, (1843). Woodcut on the first title page. Incomplete copy: pamphlet no. 6 (four leaves) is missing. Bound with "Tevu'ot HaAretz" (part two of Sefer Divrei Yossef) and with the books "Tozaot HaAretz" and "Ma'ase HaAretz". Sceintific and Halachic study of Eretz Israel. Jerusalem, 1845. [8], 70, [6] leaves (leaf no. 4 missing); [2], 156, [3] leaves; 54 leaves. (Five title pages). 15 cm. Good condition. Cardboard binding with leather spine. Ex-Libris of David Yellin. Ancient ownership inscriptions in Sephardic and Ashkenazic handwriting.

Pri Tevu'a, Pardess, Teshuvot, Beurim Veinyanim… Corrections and additions to Sefer Tevu'ot HaAretz published in 1845. [7], 247, [1] leaves. 15 cm. Good condition. Tears at the corners of some leaves.

The Kabbalist researcher, Gaon Rabbi Yehossef Schwarz, of the first researchers of Eretz Israel in modern times; was born in Germany in 1804, arrived in Jerusalem in 1833 and died in 1865. His books are still a foundation stone for discussions regarding the country's matters, in the biblical-halachic fields of study as well as in the scientific-historical research of Eretz Israel.
