The first book published by A. B. Cerata, which is also the first in the series of books called "Shir Kalektsie", named after the father of the painter Benn - Shlomo Ya'akov Rabinovitch - who died in the Bialistok Ghetto. Printed in 360 copies.
Benn - Ben-Zion Rabinovitch, born in Bialistok in 1905. Lived in Paris from 1930. During the Nazi occupation he was detained and released following the intervention of influential friends. He then hid out with his wife for over two years, during which he created the series of illustrations in this book.
At the beginning of the book is a dedication in Benn's handwriting to H. Leivick (Leivick Halpern - a Yiddish poet, playwright and author), with a small illustration of a dove.
