Written on the official stationery of his son-in-law, R. Avraham Abish Horowitz Rabbi of Karoly.
Interesting letter addressed to R. David Sperber Rabbi of Brașov, regarding the dispute surrounding the rabbinic position in Karoly.
Rebbe Yitzchak Eizik Weiss of Spinka (1875-1944, perished in the Holocaust), only son of the Imrei Yosef of Spinka and author of Chakal Yitzchak (on the Torah and responsa).
His son-in-law, R. Avraham Abish Horowitz (1897-1944, perished in the Holocaust), was appointed rabbi of Karoly in 1934, a position previously held by Rebbe Yoel of Satmar. The Satmar Chassidim did not accept his authority, and appointed their own rabbi. The Orthodox community was thus split into two factions, as discussed in this letter.

Most of the letter discusses the assembly of Spinka Chassidim Holocaust survivors in Germany on 7th Adar, with the purpose of unifying the Chassidut in the aftermath of the Holocaust. The rebbe discusses leaving Germany, and writes that the consensus is that one must leave this accursed land, quoting the rebbe of Satmar who stated that one must "not remain in this accursed land for even one week".
Rebbe Shmuel Tzvi Horowitz (1921-1997), grandson of the Chakal Yitzchak of Spinka. After the Holocaust, he led the Spinka chassidim in the East Side and later in Williamsburg, and became close to Rebbe Yoel of Satmar.

His brother, R. Yitzchak Rubin of Yavorov (1884-1970), immigrated to the United States in 1929, yet sent all his children back to Galicia due to the poor spiritual situation in the US. In his letter addressed to his Chassidim in Chicago, the rebbe extends many warm blessings for children, life and abundant sustenance, good health and success in all areas. The rebbe mentions his prayers for them and for the entire Jewish people for redemption (in time of war).

Fundraising letter on behalf of the Beit Yisrael boys' school, signed and stamped by Rebbe Shlomo Goldman of Zhvil and R. Shimshon Aharon Polonsky – the Tepliker Rav. Beit Yisrael neighborhood, Jerusalem [1940-1945].
Typewritten on the official stationery of R. Shimshon Aharon Polonsky. Appeal addressed to the residents of the Beit Yisrael neighborhood, for support for the local boys' school, where some two hundred boys study.
The letter is signed and stamped by the Tepliker Rav, and includes a letter of recommendation (several lines, presumably penciled by a scribe), with blessings "may the merit of the good deed protect all those who have a part in it, to be saved from all harm", signed and stamped by R. Shlomo Goldman of Zvhil (1869-1945; renowned as a wonder-worker whose blessings and prayers never went unanswered).

Both letters are addressed to R. Zalman Eilbaum in Safed. Rebbe Shalom of Shotz writes: "I received your letter, yet there is not much to do, since every person thinks he is an only child, but there are many many only children…". The Rebbe concludes his letter with blessings for a good year with salvations in all areas.

The letters were sent to his disciple R. Yisrael Aryeh Zalmanovitz, from Camp She'erit Hapletah in Woodbourne, N.Y. and from his home in Union City. Both letters discuss the custom of covering the Shofar on Rosh Hashanah before the Shofar blowing.
