Album with 24 photographs by "American Colony" photographer F. Vester, mounted on thick cardboard leaves. Most of the photographs are of Jerusalem and its surroundings. Most are signed in the negative: "American Colony Jerusalem". Olive wood binding, printed on the reverse with the inscription "Jerusalem" and "Yerushalem" [Hebrew].
Photographs: approx. 11X15 cm. Binding: 15.5X22 cm. Good condition. Stains and damage to page margins. Slight damage to binding.
Enclosed: advertising leaflet (leaf folded in two) of the "American Colony" store at Jaffa Gate, Jerusalem. Inside the leaflet is a map of Jerusalem.

Photographs of Palestine, taken by photographers of the "Photography Department of the American Colony". signed in the negative ("American Colony Jerusalem") and captioned (in English and French).
Photographs include: women's prayer at the Western Wall, interior of the Dome of the Rock, Rachel's Tomb and a fishing boat among the rocks of Jaffa Port. The front wooden binding is carved with a "Jerusalem cross", beneath which is the inscription "Yerushalem" (Hebrew). On the back binding is the inscription "Jerusalem".
Photographs average 15X10.5 cm, album: 22X16 cm. Fair-good condition. Stains to some photographs, tissue guards and cardboard plates. Light bends to cardboard leaves. Cracks to wooden binding. Leather spine, slightly worn.

Additional photographs of Jaffa, Rachel's Tomb, the Cave of Machpelah and more. Most are titled in the negative. Some are constructed from a number of photographs, using the photomontage technique.
Photographs ca. 10X14.5 cm, mounted on album leaves. Album: 16X21 cm. Good condition. Foxing to album leaves (around the photographs). Some of the photographs are slightly faded. Some are stained. Slight defects to binding.

Album containing 12 pictures (photographs and prints on thick paper), dedicated to Farha (Flora) Sassoon, from the Sephardic Council of Jerusalem. Jerusalem, [December 1924 or January 1925].
Picture album compiled by the Sephardic Council of Jerusalem, as a gift of appreciation to "Madam Farha Solomon David Sassoon". Dedication on attached label, stamped with the council stamp and signed by hand.
The pictures show sites in Jerusalem and its surroundings, most captioned by hand and some decorated with a silver frame. Three of the photographs bear embossed signatures: "Z. Kotler Jerusalem" (the photographer Zechariah Kotler). The picture of the Sephardic cemetery in Jerusalem is marked with the location of the grave of Mazal Tov, Farha Sassoon's daughter.
Photographs: 17X13.5 cm to 18X24.5 cm. Album: 21.5X27 cm. Good-fair condition. Some stained pictures.
