Album of photographs from Palestine (mostly from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem), [ca. 1930].
115 black-and-white photographs, mounted on the album leaves and titled in handwriting (Hebrew).
Most were photographed in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Including:
· Photographs from Tel Aviv: general view of the city, Allenby Street, Herzl Street, Lilienblum Street, Shapira neighborhood, Palatin Hotel, Herzliya Gymnasium, Nathan and Lina Strauss Health Center, "The Near East Exhibition", photographs from the city's Purim carnival (one shows Baruch Agadati), Rubanenko's kiosk (the first kiosk in Tel Aviv), a Scouts' procession, group photographs of policemen, and more.
· Photographs from Jaffa, including photographs of a military boat.
· Photographs of sportsmen from the "Maccabi" and "HaPoel" associations and photographs from sports competitions.
· Photographs from Jerusalem. Including: the Dome of the Rock, streets in the Old City, military guard at the Western Wall, photograph of the policemen Simcha Chinkis (policeman in the Palestine Police Force who was convicted of vengeful behavior in Abu Kabir during the 1929 riots), photograph from a demonstration having to do with the Western Wall.
· Photograph of an official event. In the center is Ze'ev Jabotinsky. The caption reads: "Jabotinsky with his 'followers'".
Photograph size varies. Most are approx. 6X9 cm. Cloth-covered album, with an illustration of Rachel's Tomb on the front, 17.5X25.5 cm. Good overall condition. Slight defects. Album leaves detached (the string binding the album is unraveled and partly missing).
