1-2. Two documents of "El HaHar" society, founded by Shmuel Zvi Holzman, concerning purchase of lands in Gush Etzion. One document - sale deed of four pages (1934) for purchase of 50 dunam in an area designated for "K'far Etzion" settlement. Hand-signed by Holzman and includes a small map of the area. The second document - a letter sent by "El HaHar" society, on official stationery, with an invitation to a meeting of buyers. Signed in print.

Solomon Brothers Press, [late 19th or early 20th century]. * Three large certificates, in color lithographic print (Monsohn): "Shtar Mikne" (Letter of Purchase), "Certificate of Membership" and "Yahrzeit Table". * Thick volume, the hospital's "Yahrzeiten Notebook", with recorded deaths from the 1860s to the 1970s. About 390 pp, 28.5 cm. Poor condition. Heavily worn, with multiple tears. * Illustrated receipt book of the hospital, [1920s]. Monsohn Press, Jerusalem. * Leaf printed in lithographic printing, "Souvenir of Love from the Land of our Forefathers", with various illustrations including an illustration of the hospital building (see picture). * Two hospital receipt books, issued for donations to the hospital, [1930s]. The Balfour Declaration appears on page 7, under the headline "Official Sympathy". An article headlined "The British Victory in Palestine" reviewing the operation of the British Army led by Edmond Allenby in Palestine appears on the same page.
The Balfour Declaration, which stated Britain's support for the establishment of a national home for the Jewish people in Palestine, was signed by the British Foreign Minister, Arthur James Balfour, on November 2, 1917. One week later, on November 9, the declaration was first published in the press.

The poster informs local residents of the arrival of "the Inter-Allied Commission", promises they will be allowed to present their views, and assures them that they "need not be perturbed by the unauthorised and exaggerated forecasts which may appear in Papers regarding the future political and economic status of the country".
The Commission, also known as the King-Crane Commission, was dispatched by U.S. President Woodrow Wilson to investigate whether the mandate over Palestine may be handed to the United States.The Commission report found that most of the country’s residents were interested in an American mandate, but as President Wilson sustained a stroke and could no longer function, the report was shelved and only published in the press in 1922. Enclosed is a collection of directives and official notices of the Palestine Government from 1921, including the Notrim Directive.

The broadside opens with words on behalf of King George V regarding the British Mandate in Palestine and the appointment of a High Commissioner. Following are Samuel's plans to develop the country and promote the establishment of a national home for the Jewish people in the country, while maintaining balanced relationships between the Jewish Yishuv and the Muslim and Christian populations. The coat of arms of the United Kingdom appears on top.
