Book of Haftarot on Parchment, rolled on “Atzei Chayim”. Square script, vowelized, with Te’amim. [19th/20th century]. Includes Haftarot for Shabbat, holidays and public fast days. Instructions and titles are not vowelized. Height of parchment: 42.5 cm. Good condition. Stains, wear and some tears. Marks of some corrections with ink. Contained in an embroidered velvet mantle inscribed “Sefer Haftarot”.

Book of Haftarot on parchment. Square script, vowelized. [Eastern countries, 19th century?]. Dark parchment. Rolled as a scroll. Includes the Haftara blessings which are inscribed at the beginning and the end of some of the Haftarot. Each Haftara ends with the words “Go’alenu Hashem Tzevaot shmo kadosh Israel”, according to Sephardi custom. Height of parchment: 34 cm. Good condition. Pinholes and tears to first membrane.

Five Books of the Torah, Nevi’im and Ketuvim. Antwerp, 1565. Vowelized, with ta’amim. At the beginning of each book of the Bible, the first word is set in an ornate frame. Splendid engravings decorate the beginning of Shir HaShirim, the title page of Sefer Ketuvim and the beginning of Tehillim. Written on the title page: “Printed by Christophoro Plantin by the order of Sir Bombirgi”. Colophon on last leaf: Printed by me in the home of Christophoro Plantin with Bomberg printing and letters in the month of Tevet 1565…”. This is the first edition of the Bible that Plantin printed in Antwerp. Plantin, a foremost 16th century printer. Shortly before printing the bible, Plantin established a partnership with the Bomberg family which designed the Hebrew printing letters. 506, [1] leaves. 22 cm. Good-fair condition. Worming to some leaves. Stains and wear. Reconstructed leather binding.
