Large broadside for hanging on a wall, edited by Hillel ben Shneur Zalman Epstein in Harbin. "Published by the regional bureau of JNF in the Far East in Harbin" (Hebrew), L.M. Abramovich Printing Press, [1922]. Hebrew and Russian (some English).
Portraits of Theodor Herzl and Zvi Hermann Shapira appear on the upper right and left corners. In the center – a large circle, supported by two columns on which the "JNF certificate" ("buy land in Eretz Israel") is written in Hebrew and Russian. Printed within the circle are the Isaiah prophecy (Isaiah 61:7, in Hebrew and Russian), the zodiac and a calendar for 1922-23. Between the columns appears a list of "institutes in the Zionist chamber in Harbin, Artilirisky Street 22", with names of persons in charge of each institute; below the list appear important dates in Zionist history from the first Congress to the British Mandate declaration by the League of Nations. Advertisements, mainly in Russian, appear around the lists. 54X78 cm. Good condition. Creases and folding marks, with slight damage to text. Stains.

The book describes the visit of Moses Montefiore and his wife in Vilnius. The name of the author is missing from the Hebrew title page, but appears on the English one – Chajim Salomon Eliaschewicz. Nonetheless, the book is attributed by some to by the Jewish-Lithuanian author and scholar Isaac Mayer Dick. Hebrew title page printed in golden ink. 62, [1] pp, 14.5 cm. Good condition. Stains and an open tear (restored) to first leaf. New binding.

Handwritten manuscript by David Yodman, son of rabbi of Szydłowiec, near Radom. The book, written in a rabbinic language, opens with an introduction by the author: "Presented…a book with matters from the Bible, the Talmud, both Babylonian and Jerusalemite…and some novellae…which prove how important it is to settle Eretz Israel!". The author continues and claims, on the title page, that he authored books titled "Sh'lal David" and "Nefesh David" (it seems that these books, too, were never published). In the introduction the author claims that he was imprisoned for ten weeks for supporting Zionism.
Rabbi David Yodman was murdered in the holocaust. This essay has never been published. 64 pp, 16 cm. Good condition. Slight wear at margins. Ink smears.

A comprehensive archive of documents owned by Avraham Druyan, one of the founders of Kfar Saba, a guard [Shomer], one of the founders of "General Association of Jewish Guards in Eretz Israel" in 1937, together with Avraham Shapira. As a guard and being familiar with all the leaders of the Arab villages he helped a lot in settling disputes and solving crimes in the area. In 1931 he undertook the investigation of the disappearance of Yochanan Stahl and Salia Zohar in the dunes between Sheikh Munis and Herzlia, and succeeded to locate the murderers and the bodies.
The archive contains material about the foundation of the "General Association of Jewish Guards in Eretz Israel” in 1937, and material which includes documents in his handwriting, regarding the investigation of the disappearance of Stahl and Zohar. The archive also includes material related to the murder of three Jews from Yagur by Arabs in 1931; investigation of thefts and other crimes, among them murders; founding “Maccabi” Kfar Saba in 1929; documents concerning his activities as a farmer and some personal documents. Enclosed is a significant collection of newspaper cutting and some broadsides and documents connected to the matter of Jewish work in Kfar Saba in the 1930s. See also item no 80.
