"Come and See Eretz Israel", a poster promoting tourism to Eretz Israel designed by Ze'ev Raban, printed on behalf of "Association of Jewish Guides". Jerusalem, [1929].
Colorful illustration in lithographic printing, by Ze'ev Raban. In the center - figure of a guide, wearing a hat and holding a stick, pointing at a map of Eretz Israel. On the margins appear illustrations depicting various sites in the country: Tower of David, Dome of the Rock, Rachel's Tomb, Metula, Rishon LeZion, Cave of Patriarchs, Herzlia and "Bezalel" building. On the bottom - a map - “How to reach the Art Bezalel workshop” and address of the building (where the offices of "Association of Jewish Guides" were located). 46.5X67 cm. Good condition. Creases. Restored tears and damages (mainly at the margins). Linen-backed for display and preservation.

Printed wall poster. Herbert Samuel's address after being appointed High Commissioner of Eretz Israel. [1920]. Hebrew.
The proclamation opens with words on behalf of King George V regarding the British Mandate in Eretz Israel and the appointment of a High Commissioner "The League on Nations granted my Kingdom the right to…ensure the development in peace of Eretz Israel which was prevented from you for so many years…". Further are detailed Samuel's plans to develop the country and enhance the establishment of a national home for the Jewish people in the country, while maintaining balanced relationships between the Jewish Yishuv and the Moslem and Christian population. The emblem of the United Kingdom appears on top. Ca. 56.5X48 cm. Good condition. Folding marks and creases, tears and minor damages.

Advertisement poster for the premiere of the film "Zot Hi HaAretz" in "Mugrabi" cinema, Tel-Aviv, [1935].
"Festive day for the Hebrew language in 'Mugrabi' cinema, sponsored by the Tel-Aviv municipality, starting on Saturday night 23.31935, Zot Hi HaAretz (Aga-Film). A film…about the route of a nation that starts from the beginning".
The film "Zot Hi HaAretz" was the first film with sound produced in Eretz Israel. It was produced by Baruch Agadati with the assistance of JNF, according to a script by Avigdor HaMeiri. The plot of the 50-minute film, featured the Jewish settlement in Eretz Israel during its first fifty years, incorporating staged scenes with sections of historic newsreels by Ya'akov Ben-Dov, and sections of "Aga News".
Actors: Shmuel Rodensky, Moshe Churgel, Raphael Klachkin, Meir Teomi, Bezalel London, Hanna Kipnis, Yossef Goland and others. Songs were composed by Emanuel Harussi and Alexander Penn. The premiere was held in "Mugrabi" cinema in Tel-Aviv on February 23, 1935. Ca.94X62.5 cm. Good condition. Stains, creases, folding marks and tears.

A nice color illustration of actors Emil Jannings and Marlene Dietrich, most probably toward the screening of the 1930 film "The Blue Angel", directed by Josef von Sternberg. Above the illustration appears the inscription "'Eden' cinema…Saturday night…during weekdays, A. Fox Newsreel dubbed, B. Emil Jannings".
The film "The Blue Angel" marked the transition of German films from silent movies to talking films and brought Marlene Dietrich international fame. Emil Jannings, Dietrich’s co-star, won the first Best Actor Oscar award. 68.5X124.5 cm (two parts pasted together). Fair condition. Folding marks and creases. Tears, mainly at margins. Ink stamp. Linen-backed (Upper and lower parts are detached slightly from cloth).
