A printed tablecloth for Shabbat. Amsterdam-Frankfurt, 1788.
Printed cotton.
Presented is a rectangular tablecloth in the shades of pink and brown. Similar Shabbat tablecloths are known from Germany in the 18th century. The tablecloth has a marginal decoration and dotted background. In the center, printed in two columns: Kiddush LeShabbat, Hamotzih, Kiddush Leyom Tov, (Pesach, Shavuot, Succot, Shmini Atzeret and Rosh Hashanah) and Havdalah for Shabbat and Holidays and Eiruv blessings. On the upper right corner printed (in Yiddish): “tsu bekumin bay meir buksboym in Frankfurt demain" on the upper left corner: “tsu bekumin bay everly buksboym in Amsterdam". On the lower right corner: "Beshnat ibemetachnetu…" and on the lower left: "Zechor et Yom Hashabbat lekadsho".
Size: 130X170 cm, fair condition, sewing mending, holes, stains.

Embroidered Torah Ark curtain (Parochet), [1839].
Silk, velvet, gold threads and beads.
An architectural image, in rich embroidery, of the Ark of Testimony, Yakhin and Boaz columns and two Menorahs. In the center of this composition – a golden Ark with two cherubs embroidered in copper, silver and golden threads. In the center – a Torah Ark Curtain with the inscription: "Shiviti Hashem Lenegdi Tamid". A magnificent Torah crown above the Torah Ark curtain, adorned with beads.
On both sides of the ark are two massive, winding, columns adorned with grape vines. Two seven-branched Menorahs on both sides of the columns. The floor of the shrine is made of pink fabric and portrays a marble floor, in linear perspective. In the background –the sky with scattered golden stars. On the bottom borders a dedication: "in memory of a modest woman Frieda daughter of R' Meir…" (it is possible that the curtain was made in Europe and dedicated in memory of a deceased woman of Jerusalem). Trimmed with fringes.
Size: 190X200 cm. Good condition, tears and wear to fabric.

Torah mantle. Hoenheim, France (Alsace), [1894].
Silk velvet, elevated gilded thread embroidery, sequins and glass stones.
This splendid Torah Mantle, was donated to the Hoenheim congregation in Alsace, France. The mantle is made of green silk and ornamented with gilded decorations. In the center – Ark of Testimoy with Tablets of the Law in Roman characters. Golden sun rays emerge from the ark. An applique in gilded thread of two hovering angels appears on the upper part of the mantle. The angels hold an elaborate Torah Crown embroidered in gilded thread and adorned with gem stones with the letter "K" "T" (Keter Torah). This decorative scheme is known from textile ritual objects of Alsace region. Embroidered on the lower part of the mantle: "Donation of Menachem Bar Yitzchak Shtrois and his spouse Sarla Hoenheim 1894". The mantle is trimmed with gilded fabric bands and fringes.
Height: 82 cm, width: 40 cm. Good condition, velvet is worn with minor tears and a spot. Contained in a sealed Perspex box.

An embroidered "Torah Crown" appears on the upper part, set with gemstones. On the sides are two letter "K,T" for "Keter Torah". In the center of the curtain and at its edges are dedications. The curtain was created in memory of rabbi Ya'akov Felsenstein who passed away in 1885. An acrostic in the center opens with the letters of the name Noah Avraham. Embroidered around the frame:"…on the memorial day and in honor of Yom HaKipurim donated by his daughter Zila…"
84X57 cm, good condition, some of the embroidery is unraveled, sewn on fabric for conservation.

A crown and lions flanking the Tablets of the Law (no inscription). Compartment for plates. Baroque style ornamentations on the shield, topped with a flower, characteristic of the Austro-Hungarian style. Dots are hammered on the surface of the shield, in contrast with the plane Tablets of the Law.

Silver (marked: Manufacturer's mark Friedman and "14"), filigree, casting and engraving.
The shield combines filigree work with a relief. The Torah crown, pillars of Boaz and Jachin and a Holy Ark are featured in filigree work. Cast work features birds and deer on plants' twigs. In addition, engraving on the lower part of the shield; center – medallion with a curved snake ("Nachash Akalton") with its tail in its mouth. Hung on the shield are three heart-shaped medallions with the engraved inscription: "Yitzchak ben Shaul". On the door of the Holy Ark in the center – a Star of David. When the door is opened, appears a miniature Torah scroll, bound with a sash.
Height: 26 cm, width: 16 cm. Good condition, spots. Bendings, minor cracks. Repairs on the reverse, missing screws and nuts, missing chain.

In the center – Tablets of the Law (engraved), a Menorah with two deer on its sides and heraldic lions. On the top – two eagles. In a cartouche on the bottom of the shield: "Lea daughter of R' Yehiel". Engraved circles form the background of the shield.
Fair-poor condition, crown on top is broken and missing. Cracks and breaks, repairs with tin.
