The Shamash oil font on top of the dome. The base of the row of oil fonts is made of a latticework decorated with flowers, stands on legs shaped like bird’s feet. Oval oil-cups, shaped as shells. Hanukkah lamp [France ? 19th / 20th century] Beaten tin-brass, cast brass. Hanukkah lamp for hanging on the wall. In the center of the side-panel is a basin in which appears a burning flame, placed on a pedestal made of branches of leaves. At its base a pair of winged lions. At the top of the panel is the face of a lion and a loop for hanging. The row of oblong oil fonts with a tube for the wick. Removable "shamash" oil font. Height: 29.cm., width: 29.5 cm.

Hanukkah lamp. Poland, [first half of 20th cent.]. Cast brass. Back-plate designed as a front of a building with a gate, windows and a balcony. Side-plates in the shape of lions. From these plates emerge two candle holders which were used during the year as Shabbat candle sticks. A barred banister in front of the oil fonts. On both sides are birds as well as on top of the back-plate. Width: 24 cm. Height: 28 cm.

Hanukkah lamp which can be used also as a wall-lamp. Iraq, [turn of the 20th cent.]. Silver (unmarked). Upright Hanukkah lamp with eight hooked arms arranged in a circle with oil fonts positioned in small bowls. The Shamash is positioned on top of the central arm. A screw in the upper part of the central arm permits turning the lamp's arms by 90 degrees so as to permit hanging the lamp on the wall (two small holes in the base allow affixing the lamp to the wall). Height: 30 cm, maximum width: 29.5 cm.

Upright Hanukkah Lamp. Eretz Israel, [20th century]. Silver, filigree, turquoise gemstones. Central post with inscription "Hanerot Halalu Kodesh Hem" in silver thread. On the base: "Bezalel Yerushalem". A small oil jug is hanging on the central pole. The Shamash stands out of the oil jug. Eight turquoise gemstones are set in the base. Height: 40.5 cm, width: 39.5 cm, base diameter: 13.5 cm.

Hanukkah lamp designed by Ludwig Yehuda Wolpert. Israel, 1970s. Sawn, impressed and engraved brass. Signed: "Wolpert" (on the reverse). The lamp is mounted on a wooden board, for hanging on a wall. The oil fonts are placed in the palms of eight protruding lions. Six tall rods adorned with the inscription "Lecha Na'eh LeShabe'ach" (of the liturgical poem "Ma'oz Tzur Yehu'ati"); the Shamash is placed in the center. A small plaque with a dedication is attached to the wooden board indicating that the Hanukkah lamp was presented as a gift by the United Jewish Appeal in New -York in December 1978. Height: 33.5 cm, width: 29 cm, depth: 14.5 cm. Wooden board, length: 46 cm, width: 35.5 cm. Laver for ritual hand-washing. [Eretz Israel?]. Cast and engraved bronze. Laver with two handles. Inscriptions engraved in Hebrew on the sides of the vessel: “First water option, Last water duty”, and “Rachel mourns her sons”. Apparently the laver was used at the beginning of the 20th century at Rachel’s Tomb, in Bethlehem. Height: 16cm., diameter: 13 cm. Provenance: purchased from an Arab dealer in Bethlehem immediately after the Six Day War in 1967. From the inscription “Rachel mourns her sons” it seems that the laver came from Rachel’s Tomb.
