Pottery juglet "bilbil"; single handle; dark slip; chip on base. This like much of the pottery in the Land of Israel in the Late Bronze Age was imported, this coming from Cyprus. When held upside down the vessel looks like a poppy giving rise to the theory postulated by Merrilees that such vessels were used to transport opium.Height: 16.5 cm, width: 7cm For type cf. Bronze phiale; everted rim; omphalos. A drinking vessel, the central omphalos facilitated holding it. Diameter: 16cm, height: 3cm.

Stack of cooking pots; eight horizontally ribbed pottery cooking pots each with two handles. In every Jewish home there would be found a stack of cooking pots like this. Tosefta (Ohalot 10:2). Ca. 1st cent BCE-4th cent CE. 8 pots: 20.5X22; 16X18; 14X17; 13X17; 12X16.5; 11.5X13.5; 10X11.5; 7.5X10. 5 cm.

Pottery bowl inscribed in Babylonian Jewish Aramaic. Ca. 5th-7th cent CE. Incantation inscriptions written in a circular pattern on the inside surface of the bowl: "You, open gates of income and gates of [sustenance] for Ma[ri] son of Awirta and any name that he might have! O He [who] made the sea and established the dry land… He who sustains the fetus in the belly of its mother, He shall sustain Mari son of Awirta… From the four directions they shall come to him and shall stand (subserviently) before him and shall lick the dust of his feet just as a bull licks the herb of the field. That which they hold in their hands, they shall give him, and (with) that of their left hand(s) they shall fill…". Diameter: 14 cm, height: 6 cm.
