Application form for immigration certificate for Rabbi Shmuel Kagan Rabbi of Orsha and his wife Badana, signed by his brother-in-law Rabbi "Ya'akov Yisrael Kanievsky – Rabbi in the 'Beit Yosef Yeshiva', Bnei Brak", and signed by Rabbi "Yonatan Binyamin HaLevi Ish Horowitz, 'Agudat Yisrael' Chairman". [Chanuka 5696,1935].
Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu Kahn (1889-perished in the Holocaust), great son-in-law of Rabbi Shemaryahu Yosef Karelitz Rabbi of Kosove, and brother-in-law of the "Chazon Ish" and the Steipler. Was an outstanding disciple of the "Saba of Slabodke". Served in the Orsha (Minsk region) rabbinate from 1918, under the communist rule. On the application form for a certificate, only his wife Badana is mentioned since they were childless.
